Terms of Service
Overview
These terms govern your use of MalCloud and threatfight.com, both operated by ThreatFight. By using any ThreatFight service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
MalCloud is available in two deployment models: free hosted community tier, and paid cloud tiers. Different terms apply to each.
Community Edition (Free Hosted)
The Community edition of MalCloud is a free hosted tier provided by ThreatFight. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind — express or implied. ThreatFight is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Community edition.
MalCloud is closed-source. You are licensed to use the hosted service. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or distribute the platform software. Source code review is available under NDA for enterprise customers upon request.
Paid Cloud Tiers
Paid tiers are provided under a commercial subscription. Your subscription begins on the date you activate a plan and renews on the billing cycle you selected.
Service availability targets vary by tier and are specified in the plan documentation at the time of purchase. ThreatFight will make reasonable efforts to meet stated availability targets but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Billing disputes must be raised within 30 days of the charge. Contact contact@threatfight.com.
Acceptable Use
You may not use MalCloud or any ThreatFight service to:
- Conduct or facilitate any illegal activity
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble paid-tier features or proprietary components
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or ThreatFight infrastructure
- Resell or sublicense access to paid tiers without written authorization from ThreatFight
- Introduce malware, exploits, or malicious payloads into the platform infrastructure
Violation of acceptable use terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
Intellectual Property
ThreatFight owns the MalCloud platform, including all source code, interfaces, branding, and documentation. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond what is explicitly granted.
You own your data. Threat intelligence, indicators, configurations, and other content you bring into or generate within MalCloud remain yours. ThreatFight does not claim any ownership over customer data.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ThreatFight's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
ThreatFight is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Termination
Either party may terminate a paid subscription with 30 days written notice. You may cancel through your account settings or by emailing contact@threatfight.com.
ThreatFight may terminate your account immediately for violation of these terms, including acceptable use. Upon termination, your access to the service ends. For cloud-hosted tiers, you have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction within the United States.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
